back on the wagon...

Yeah I fell of the wagon a bit last week. I got lazy with the blog because Ed was doing the dirty work for me, I only got in two workouts (that was mostly due to driving around the entire state of Kansas for a good portion of last week) and I ate like crap.

Today I was determined to get back on that band wagon. Well I made and ate a healthy dinner, but the workout, yeah didn't so much happen. I was going to do weights over lunch but caved for lunch with the boss and co-workers instead. I don't regret that, ummmm beef. YUM.

I plan to jump back on the workout wagon tomorrow, weights and run. Ed is nearly totally out of commission, but I have people chipping in to help, which is tremendous. I have such great friends, family and neighbors, I couldn't get it all done without them. It looks like the week is looking positive, back on track... things are calming down.

Now if we can just get this little Air Conditioning problem solved. Sigh. It was about 93 degrees today with 98% humidity, thunderstorms, thick gross air. ICK. But we are surviving. With rain pouring in through our open windows with fans in them, we had to shut them. So I decided to be on AC breaker watch 2009 and randomly, and thankfully, our breaker stayed on (after ed removed the box cover, BRILLIANT!), and is still on. Our indoor temp is all the way down to a freezing 84 degrees, after only one hour of the AC being back on. Time to whip out the ski jacket...brrrr.

Side note. Ed is using a rolling pin on his leg right now, the one with the bummed out knee. I'm a germaphobe.... so I'm glad I don't really bake. Ever. That thing is going to be retired...

Glad you are heading back on track. We all need to go off the path once in a while. Rolling pin, very creative, way to use the resource you have.

LOL at the rolling pin. I have done that - AND used it for pizza. (Yeah, that's kind of gross.)

Good luck getting back on the workout wagon and continued recovery vibes to Ed!

The rolling pin?? YUCK!! That is as bad as my husband itching his foot with the knife, oh wait no it's not...buy my hubs grew up in Arkansas so I can't fault him.

OK humidity and heat and rain?? NOT GOOD! I would not want to work out either. You really need to move to Seattle :) Start reseraching the BAR requirements would ya??

Ha on the rolling pin and yeah...kind of gross. Who needs rolling pins anyway when you can buy pie crust and pizza crust already made??

The rolling pin is a great trick. I tore my kitchen apart once looking for my rolling pin only to remember I'd been using it in the basement watching tv earlier that week.

Sounds super hot there with the humidity! Thats the way it was when I was in Florida! Hope you get the AC fix.

Hey, it happens to the best of us. And I'm sorry, but anytime I had to choose between beef and working out, beef would clearly win out. Come to think of it, this is probably why I'm not a better runner by now. Hmm.

Good luck getting back on that wagon--you can do it! :)

we finally turned our air on just yesterday because I was whining about sweating while I sleep due to the humdity...but just think of all the calories you are burning that way? no, no.

hope the week goes as you plan!

Hope you got in your run and weights today!

On the Jillian thing -- I think the shred and No More Trouble Zones workouts are good gym alternatives. No More...is about an hour and the shreds are only 20 mins, so you'd probably want to do 2 of them. The first one is pretty easy but 2 and 3 are great workouts!

I have kind of been off the wagon a bit as well. Even though I have kept up with my training for the most part, my TriPower daily exercises have been minimal and my nutrition has sucked the big one! Way to get back on track!
