what's your song, version 1.1...

It's that time again, feel free to list some of your spectacular new running tunes, from old favorites to new stuff, just share! My picks this month range from songs that mean something to me that get me thinking and reminiscing, some throw backs to old school runs, some are just old school, and some I just plain love right now so added them in.

All of the below songs are on my 'long run' list because I have to mix it up with more than just fast paced, hard core and hip-hop tunes during those endless miles.

In no particular order:
  1. Fake Palindromes - Andrew Bird
  2. Stand in the Rain - Super Chick
  3. Float On - Modest Mouse
  4. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey (yes, you read that right, and I have no shame)
  5. The Light - Mason Jennings
  6. Such Great Heights - The Postal Service
  7. Under Pressure - David Bowie
  8. Mexico - Cake
  9. Politik - Coldplay
  10. The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived - Weezer

Greetings...the Adam I know has a last name that starts with R, and lives in park city...sound familiar?
I am going to do half (my first) this spring, just not sure which one yet...OKC is in the mix along with about 3 other options....it all depends on scheduling/life/family conflicts...

that's cool you know Adam, he's a good guy....I saw him at the Jingle Bell and Frosty 5K, both of which introduced me to running along the river....I wish it was closer to my house, because those are some great paths for running....best of luck on the OKC marathon!

1. Release - Timbaland ft. Justin Timberlake. This song makes me shake it involuntarily.
2. Suavemente - Elvis Crespo. The greatest merengue song of all time. Besa me!
3. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous - Good Charlotte. I forgot how great this song is.
4. Untouched- The Veronicas
5. Still not a player - Big Pun ft. Fat Joe. Oldie but Goldie.
6. Taper Jean Girl - Kings of Leon
7. SexyBack REMIX - Justin Timberlake vs. Fedde Le Grande "Sexy Back in Detroit (DJ Lova House remix). If you can get past the first annoying minute it's AWESOME!
